Big weekend at the Huck house

We had a big weekend, Abby graduated from high school on Saturday and we had a graduation open house on Sunday. Roxy’s parents and my parents came in for the festivities.

I’m really enjoy shooting with my Polaroid 420 camera and I could not pass up shooting a portrait of my parents on the Polaroid camera.

A Hocking Hills Thanksgiving …

This year we rented a cabin in the Hocking Hills area. We arrived at the cabin late afternoon Wednesday. We unpacked and partied at the cabin. Thanksgiving day we did the morning usual, watched Macy’s Day Parade and had a big Thanksgiving feast. After a long nap, several us us headed out for a hike. We had a great hike at Cedar Falls & a portion of Old Man’s Cave. With the recent snow we had early in the week, there was plenty of snow remaining.

On our walk to Cedar Falls, why not turn around and look where you just walked.

This may just be my favorite view in Hocking Hills, the famous Cedar Falls.

Enjoying our walk, missing Roxy! She decided to stay back at the cabin with the others.

Friday after lunch we all headed out to Ash Cave & Conkle’s Hollow.

We started our walk at Conkle's Hollow but the sun was setting and started to get chilly. We turned around and headed back to the vans, I took the path (creek) less traveled and found this natural form.

Hocking Hills never get old! It’s been a long time since we’ve been there in the winter and we were not disappointed.

While working this morning, I came across a few images of the girls from a few years ago. I can’t help but share these images. This a big reason why I like being a photographer & being able to capture the everyday things of the family. The fun moments, the funny moments, the memorable moments!

I also can’t help but think & say How good God is! He has been so good to me & my family. I am so thankful!

A sad day …

Wednesday August 1st was a sad day for the family. It certainly was not from the Olympics, we are enjoying watching all the events. It was sad because after 8 months of having Dalma in our home, we had to return her to Four Paws For Ability. She was such a good dog. Yes, there were days when Dalma pressed our buttons, but mostly she was a great dog. We took her home on December 1st when she was an 8 week old puppy, she was only a few pounds.

We really enjoyed taking her out on outings and people always wanted to meet her and learn all about her. We have many fun stories about her and the funny things that happened and she would do. Dalma will continue obedience training & learning specific skills at Four Paws. She will be a great service dog and new friend for a child. We are so excited for her.

Norris Lake vacation 2012 #fb

After missing last years trip to Dale Hollow with the group, we were able to go to the “new” vacation spot with Rod & Debbie inviting us all to their new lake home at Norris Lake.

We had a wonderful time both on the water, in the boat and at the house.

An Evening of Soccer …

It was an evening of soccer. Abby is playing in a spring soccer league in Beavercreek with several Cedarville friends. Dalma enjoys going to the soccer fields & watching the soccer balls being kicked around.
