Day 5 – Jeff Canyon / Hualapai Nation

We started the day leaving at 7am, it was a very long day. It was a day was full of walking and a fair amount of time spent in the vehicles driving in the back country!

We spent the day in the creek bed of the Jeff Canyon which is on the tribal land of the Hualapai Nation.

The students were instructed to look for and find straight nautiloids (shelled squid) in the Whitmore wash member of the red wall.
