Why we are going to Italy

Below is a support letter that we sent out to our many friends & family a few months ago. This letter will inform you why we are going back to Italy. We are excited for what God has in store for our family and the team. We are looking forward to ministering alongside the team as well as the Italian nationals at the camp. It will be encouraging to see the work that God is continuing at the camp. We are also excited to be with Joe & Stefania again. Several years ago we worked with them at the camp and in their home Church in Dragona outside of Rome. It will be good to see them again!

We hope this letter finds everyone doing well and enjoying the nice warm weather that spring brings. We are looking forward to this summer. We are making plans to take 7 university students on a missions trip to Italy. The Missions department at Cedarville University has asked us to lead another missions trip.
This summer we will be going back to the Centro Evangelico (an Evangelical Christian camp and conference center) June 23rd to July 18th. If you remember from our past trips to Italy, this camp is where our teams have gone to help with many different jobs and projects. The camp is now towards the end of a construction campaign and preparing a building dedication early in 2012. We will have a variety of tasks, which will include more construction work
and activities with the campers.
Please pray as the team prepares for the trip. We will have many opportunities for fellowship and team bonding. Please pray for the students that will be on this trip. We are praying they would get a good feeling of what a missionary’s life is like and we also pray they will have servant’s hearts and attitudes as we go to help and encourage the missionaries. We are encouraged as we have seen students from our past trips make decisions for full time ministry overseas. One in particular has been in northern Italy in full time service for the past 4 years.
Each member of the team is asked to help cover travel, room/board, equipment, and training expenses. Our family’s total estimated cost is $8000. On our behalf, would you consider helping to defray the expenses of this ministry? In doing so, you would become a part of our ministry, joining us as a support member.
As God leads and if you choose to participate in our financial need, you can give online at http://www.cedarville.edu/giving. Upon receiving your gift, the University will send you a cash receipt and apply your gift to our team expenses.
When we return, we look forward to sending you a letter sharing the opportunities and experiences we had while in Italy. Thank you for your prayers and your consideration.
In Christ’s love,
The Hucks
Scott, Roxy, Abby & Emily
